Indian captain Virat Kohli earned his career best 911, points while becoming the top batsman in the latest ICC ODI ranking, while Kuldeep Yadav finished sixth in the top 10 in the list of bowlers.
The ICC said in the statement that Kohli scored 75, 45 and 71 in the series, which earned him only two points, but it was enough to get him 911 rating points, which was followed by 918 points from Australia’s Dean Jones in March 1991.
Thanks to two consecutive centuries England’s batsmen have reached the second place in the Root Batting Ranking.
Kuldeep made into the top 10 for the first time in his career. The chinaman took nine wickets in the ODI series, which included six wickets for 25 runs in the first match in Trent Bridge. He gained eight places, which helped him to reach the 6 place.
Kuldeep is the third Indian bowler in the top 10. India’s Jasprit Bumrah is leading the rankings, while leg spinner Yuzvender Chahal is at 10th position.
Other spinners included in the top 10 are Rashid Khan in 2nd, Imran Tahir at 7th and Adil Rashid at 8th.
